I have recently got a female gerbil to keep my male gerbil company. They are both still under 12 weeks old and get on quite well apart from the very occaisonal scrap.
I checked on them the other night and the female was lying on her back and the male seemed to be licking her all over – i dont think that he was biting her as she seemed farely content and wasn’t strugling to get away – is this normal?
Thanks to those who have answered my question seriously – those of you who think you’re smart arses, don’t bother. If you read the question properly, you will see that i’m not asking for your opinions so i’ll decide whether i’m an idiot or not thanks.
Yes it is normal it’s what gerbils do to each other to clean themselves. But you should have gotten 2 males or 2 females instead because soon you’re house will be full of baby gerbils (and it won’t stop until you separate the males from the females)…
This maybe is a odd question but I’m sitting here doing some journaling for pages I’ve completed and I find that I journal in the first person and then at the end of the paragraph I’m journeling in the second person? Do you journal like your talking to strangers reading – or for instance if your doing your childs album do you journal like you are talking to them. I’m working on our family album so some are family pictures, some are just of my daughter. Or does it even matter at all??
Personally I don’t think it matters. Perhaps on one layout (page) you should try to be consistant, but over a whole album – I don’t worry.
My journalling varies between talking about ‘we did this…we did that ….’ to ‘You are a beautiful …..’ to addressing the reader. I think I just go with what ever feels right for that particular layout(page).
Remember there are no ‘rules’ in scrapbooking!!
I am talented at creating digital scrapbooking pages. Friends and family have suggested that I should sell my work. I am fairly certain that there is a need out there for this sort of service because many people do not have the time/inclination to scrapbook but would like a finished photo album of their memories.
I was wondering how I should go about advertising my services beyond word of mouth. I was thinking about creating a webpage but I don’t know how to promote it. I was thinking about creating flyers in my neighbourhood. I am not sure what else I could do. Any suggestions?
Good questions, I have a scrapbook business and I am always trying new ways to advertise.
My first suggestion is networking word of mouth is the best advertisement because it is a testimonial of your great work and people are more receptive if they know someone that recommended you.
A website is the business card of the new Millennium and a great way to display your work, you can find some web page sites that have a easy to use templates to help you set your site up http://www.homestead.com . Another option is to start a blog which is free and a great way to share your work and promote yourself http://www.blogger.com .
Another good tool is the old classic business card and flyer’s. I carry them around and give them to anyone I meet Vista print offers free business cards and great templates http://www.vistaprint.com .
My latest advertisement idea is a monthly newsletter featuring new products, events, product specials, and other scrapbook information I believe is worth sharing.http://scrapbookmemorias.blogspot.com
I guess the best suggestions is keep trying new things scrapbooking is great hobby and is becoming very popular teaching others how to preserve precious memories is important and I congratulate you on your efforts. Good Luck and feel Free to check my website and contact me for more information. http://memorias.memory-works.com .
There is a pig olympics in Moscow April 2006. I have interest to see a photo scrapbook playing fun with these pigs in the game.
I did a yahoo search for "Pig Olympics" and selected images. I got about a dozen photos

I have him for more than 3 months and he was very cheerful until i brought one female, she always keeps nipping him and attacking him,she even scrapped his scales off! though he is not much injured he sits very quietly in the tank and does not move, heis not the same cheerful fish i had,i am doubting hat the female i purchased is a male, may be the fisher fellow cheated me just to gain money,or not, then why is she so aggressive towards him, they don’t get along at all.i have decided to keep them separate now,i thought he will be happy if he gets a female,i don’t want him to die, will he become allright, can i do anything 4 him? what can i do to make them get along?please help me save my kisser
These fish are extremely aggressive. The kissing is actually aggression not affection. It’s likely you have two males. Most pets stores do not sell female gouramis of any kind because only the males have color. In the case of kissing gouramis, only the males kiss, which is aggression. The kissing is the hook the stores uses to get people to buy these fish.
Unsuspecting people take these fish home only to watch them kill each other in their tanks. It’s no different than rooster fighting.
LOL
Is there such a thing?!!
But seriously, do you feel like you are taking to many pictures?
I am so thankful for my digital camera so I don’t have to think about how many I take!
The other day I took a picture of my 10 year old reading! I can’t wait to scrap it and journal what a great reader she is!
Way too many. But what surprised me was right before my son graduated I realized that from about 12 on I only had 4 or 5 pics of him a year. But I have tons of albums & large plastic boxes of pics still waiting from before then. He jokes I lost interest once he quit being so cutesy. lol!
I am just getting into scrapbooking due to the new addition in my family. I am wondering, when you go out and purchase the nice pretty background paper, do you glue that to the provided white paper of the scrapbook or do you omit the white paper and just use the pretty paper?
I have chosen to not glue anything to the scrapbook white board. I figured if I need to change my mind on order of the pages, it’s impossible with something glued to both sides. So I just get a background paper and attach everything to that, then slide it in (in front of the white page). If you mean, do you utilize the white paper as part of the background, and just decorate the white paper…no, I don’t do that either. I like lots of decoration and cover every square inch.
Either way, your choice.
